Be Sure To Try
Try to knock down the "Heavy Timber" of the AMF Lumberjack Challenge, the only Authorized Companion Tournament to the Legendary Petersen Classic. The Lumberjack Challenge runs during the same dates and at the same site at the "Pete". Carrying a 1st prize of $2,500.00 (based on 500 entries), the Tournament is 4 games of 9-pin no tap and is open to men and women. Entry fee is $45 and you can re-enter for just $35.
Results are official and Sam Lantto, Eden Prairie, MN, has captured the 2013 edition of the AMF Petersen Classic with a winning score of 1,621. Finishing in 2nd Place is Shannon Buchan, Waterloo, IA, who shot a score of 1,602 and withstood a late charge in the last weekend from John Slavich, IV, Schaumburg, IL, who bowled 1,600 even to nail down 3rd place. A score of 1,473 looks to have made the top 100 in the Major Prize List.
John Slavich, IV, also a squad sponsor, is on top of the Squad Sponsors list with his score as well as the High Game of the tournament for squad sponsors. As always, pending average verification, Lisa M. Nehls, Zimmerman, MN, leading nearly wire to wire, is the leader for Over Average in both over average divisions with +176. Donald W. Ware, III, Rochester, PA and Ashley Cox, Godfey, IL are the Lumberjack Challenge winners.
